About Millie Baumbusch

As a litigator, Millie Baumbusch focuses on contested adult guardianships and conservatorships. Millie works closely with her clients, beginning with the initial consultation and wide-ranging discussion of options, and continuing through all stages of litigation, from filing pleadings to conducting discovery to managing hearings and trials.

When representing her clients, Millie focuses on the complex legal issues of the dispute, while retaining a keen appreciation of the financial and emotional toll the case will have on her client. Seeking a mediated settlement that might facilitate better family relationships can often be a more appropriate approach than taking an aggressive stance in court. Throughout the litigation process, Millie looks for windows of opportunity to engage in settlement negotiations to save resources and give her clients a measure of control over the outcome.

Millie spent many years specializing in fiduciary disputes concerning wills, estates, and trusts, as well as adult guardianships and conservatorships. Recently, she has chosen to limit her practice only to guardianship and conservatorship cases. She has appeared in all metro Atlanta area probate courts as well as in many probate courts outside the metro area.

Millie attended Brown University and obtained a B.A. degree in English literature. She was an Assistant Vice President at Chemical Bank in New York City, where she was a lending officer to middle market companies and held several positions in strategic planning and market research. Millie attended the Georgia State University College of Law, earning a J.D. cum laude. While in law school, she served as Research Co-Editor of the Law Review.
